I really struggled today (Saturday) as we reached the one-week mark. I know you did too.
My range of emotions seems to oscillate quickly; between frustration and anger and focus and compassion. No matter what my current mood — I’m trying to steer towards focus.
I’ve spoken with and texted many people today. Here are a few of the things I heard that are working on when placed on the landing page:
1) put a PDF of your products/services on your temporary landing page,
2) put an email list signup form on your landing page to engage new visitors,
3) add a donation form connected to PayPal.
Reply to me or send an email to [email protected] if you need assistance or have ideas to share.
We have completed the setup of an alternate data center. We intend to use this data center in few different ways right now:
1) to host the server providing the current landing page & 503 system;
2) to store the 3rd level of individual website backups
3) it will be used to reload a website domain from a Sucuri, VaultPress, or BackupBuddy backup. BackupBuddy has been the easiest solution to restore so far. These are paid plugins with their own subscription subscriptions for storing data.
4) it will be used to launch temporary websites for sites that have new content. We plan to test this tomorrow using a few domains to monitor the SEO effects.
365 has initiated a security process to reset user, endpoint, and server passwords and cryptographic keys. They have also introduced additional firewall and network isolation tools to provide an additional degree of protection.
365’s goal is to relaunch our data center exactly as it was prior to the cyber event.
I am very sorry that I don’t have firm dates yet. Please hang in there a bit more. It is my understanding that 365 Data Centers have started a plan for the restoration of services and we should know that plan and a timeline very soon.
